We appreciate your prayers. The event had an excellent amount of participants, and everyone left feeling refreshed!

In fact, one participant from Syria was saying that simply participating in the event is like a much needed breath of fresh air! They get to come, meet other believers, pray, worship, relax, and fill up with enough spirit to go back to Syria.

Katalyst is still going because they have faith that change is happening, and God is working.

Please continue to pray for all the youth in the Near East, so that God may continue to use them!

Katalyst is a network of youth ministries, who work towards training and equipping youth leaders in this region. The Katalyst team have been working hard in the final preparations for Katalyst Beirut 2017.

Today, at 4pm Lebanon time the pre-Katalyst Beirut training will start with delegates from Iraq, Syria & Jordan. The Lebanese will join on Friday & Saturday. The Katalyst team is excited to have our main speaker focus on "Surprised by God.” There will also be 14 different workshop being presented over the 3-day training.
 Please specifically pray for:
  • The speaker as he delivers messages that will be spiritually challenging and encouraging; as well as for the other workshop leaders to be able to train, equip and encourage these youth workers.
  • The conference delegates as many are traveling through war-torn areas. Most of these youth workers are volunteer and work other jobs in order to serve among teenagers, please pray for them and bless them as they set this aside time to grow and learn.
  • Pray for those who attend to take what they have learned and put it in practice as they seek to more effectively reach youth with the Gospel.
  • Please pray for the Katalyst team for strength, energy, focus and sensitivity to the Spirit's leading in all things..

A call for a day of prayer and fasting on Wednesday, March 15th

The war in Syria has lasted for 6 years. We can picture the scenes and retell the stories of that great conflict.

Let us come together, as the Body of Christ, for a day of prayer and fasting for the people of Syria.

Below are four prayer requests that the Lord has put on the hearts of some who work with Syrians. Use these words as a spring board to begin your time before the Lord. After 6 intense years of struggle, the war in Syria has left the nation divided into two groups, those who have remained in country living in survival mode, and those who have fled to various regions all over the world, also struggling to have their basic needs met each day.

  • Pray that Syrians in both of these groups would come to know Jesus as their sustainer and provider, and would become the hand that the Father uses to bring the Light of the Gospel into the hidden recesses of Islam both inside of Syria and around the world.

  • Pray that God would bring forth a “ Cornelius” of the Syrian Muslims. Pray for the gospel message to not only reach the Syrian refugees but multiply out across the Middle East and around the world.
Several workers will be training/sharing with some near culture believers on how the Fathers’ plan for a quickly reproducing witness and a quickly reproducing church could be the beginning of a rapid harvest among Syrian refugees.

  • Pray that they will see how sharing and disciple making with the expectation to immediately pass on what the Lord has for us, is how we can see a Syrian people come to believe the gospel NOW!

  • Pray that the local church in all affected countries would be burdened with a desire to see all of those affected by this conflict, both internally displaced people and refugees, have an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel and that they would catch the vision of multiplication amongst these peoples. And ask that new believers faced with ongoing and inevitable persecution would stand strong in their faith and be encouraged.
